Grave Concern Paranormal

Mark
Founder-Lead investigator
I have had a lifelong fascination with all things paranormal so the decision to dedicate a major part of my life to paranormal research was not a hard one to make. Since the beginning I have contributed almost every spare second working to further my knowledge and expertise, practicing my skills and testing theories both new and old. The money invested in new experimental equipment was always worth every cent because every investigation has been a learning experience no matter what the outcome was.
I have knowledge in all aspects of running a paranormal team including equipment, software and paranormal theories and procedures. I would never ask anyone to review my evidence or expect teammates to do my work.
Most of my skills focus on the technical aspect of research because I have made it my personal goal to be able to provide technical documentation to help advance the field of paranormal studies. With my strong background in computers and electronics, I am able to build, modify and upgrade most any piece of equipment.
I am both a professional truck driver and certified computer techie. I believe that with the technology and theories we are discovering today, we may find the answers we have been searching for.

Terri
Founder-Lead investigator
Terri has had a love of the paranormal for as long as she can remember. A recent survey showed that over 50% of people in the US believe in ghosts, Terri is determined to find a way to prove if they exist. Spending years traveling to many locations, working with different groups, meeting many wonderful people and learning many different investigative techniques and theories has made her paranormal investigation experiences a great adventure.
Now her paranormal exploration keeps getting better as she is able to start a team with her greatest partner in research and in life, her husband Mark. Together they have been able to invite some of the best teammates and friends from the past to work with and hand pick few new ones to train from years of experience to build their own “dream team”.
When she is not investigating the paranormal, Terri is a professional computer and network techie and the mother of a wonderful son! Her motto is “If having a teenager doesn’t scare me, ghosts don’t stand a chance!”

Leslie
Lead investigator
Hi my name is Leslie. Just before a diagnosis of cancer, I became sensitive to the unseen. After hearing footsteps in my home and experiencing doors opening by themselves, items being moved on their own from one place to another (even to a second floor), piqued my interest in the paranormal, and made me wonder what really happens when we die. I have gained respect for the dead, knowledge of investigating, and paranormal research while having the opportunity working with a paranormal team over the last few years. I have had the privilege of investigating private homes and businesses. My most recent and fascinating had to be that of Mansfield Reformatory in Ohio. I am a trusted psychic medium who has assisted on many cases. I have the ability to even get information without even being at the investigation site. I also help people to reconnect with past loved ones and am a reflexologist.
Joe
Lead investigator
Hi, I’m Joe; I’ve always had a love for the weird, strange, and unknown. I started my journey into the paranormal when I was very young. My three areas of main interests are UFOs, Ghosts, and Cryptozoology. As an ufologist I have served as an investigator for the Aerial Phenomena Research Organization (APRO) 1968 - 1974. In addition, I served the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) as an investigator, state section director, assistant state director, and a special investigator for the Transcription Project (alien abduction research) 1977 - 2000.
I always had a keen interest in ghosts and started investigating them in the 70’s but got really serious about research in the mid-eighties and founded the private Ghost Research Centre (GRC). My area of expertise is analysis of EVPs. I have encountered everything from your standard Ghosts to Tulpas, and a few Demons along the way in my research.
Cryptozoology is where I get all of my exercise. This field is the search for hidden animals. I prefer the more exotic cryptids like Dogman, Bigfoot, and your assorted lake monsters. The majority of my hunting has revolved around the Michigan Bigfoot. I even had the pleasure to hunt with Dr. Igor Burtsev a Hominologist and Director of the International Center of Hominology in Moscow Russia.
When I’m not hunting ghosts, aliens, and monsters, I’m an Information Technology (I.T.) professional where it can get pretty scary. I hold a B.S. in Information Technology.

Jeff and Crystal
Lead investigators
Meet Jeff and Crystal. Before moving to Michigan this dynamic husband and wife team founded and ran the Pine Crest Paranormal Team in WV and kept busy with nightly investigations.

Jeff attended West Virginia State College and West Virginia Vo Tech and is now a Critical Care Nurse. Combined with his approximately 30 years as a photography enthusiast and years of experience investigating the paranormal, there isn’t much left Jeff hasn’t seen or anything he isn’t ready for when it comes to paranormal investigation.
Born with the gift of empathy, Crystals multiple talents and years of experience as a Case Manager for a busy paranormal group and manager for a busy household make her not only a much loved partner to her husband Jeff but a great asset to any team lucky enough to have her. Her proven skills as a researcher and her sensitivity to her clients needs have earned her great respect from those lucky enough to work with her.
After 13 years of working together in marriage and the paranormal, this husband and wife team has really learned how to work together and bring a combined team effort to the Marter Paranormal Research Team that helps M.P.R.T. to maintain its highest standard of quality.

Janet
Investigator
I have spent the last 37 years of my life chasing the truth. I know there is more out there than what meets the eye. Now I have been given a chance to prove it. I’ve been doing armature investigator for years. I love working with audio and finding hidden voices from beyond. I know that with my training in graphic design and broadcasting I can help lend a hand. I’m thrilled to learn the industry the real way.

Heather
Investigator

I was born in Midland, Texas and lived there until my family to moved to west Michigan in 1990.  I can remember even at that age, seeing and hearing things that couldn't be explained.  There was one event where I could see glowing eyes under the table next to my bed.  I knew it wasn't our cat, I was alone in my room...so I thought.  Ever since that moment, I have had many more experiences varying from doors slamming shut when there isn't even a slight breeze, to hearing my name clearly being called while alone and even electronics turning on and off.  I've never felt afraid, I just felt whoever is with me, just wants me to know they are there.  Aside from being intrigued by the paranormal, I serve in the Army National Guard and have for nine years, doing two deployments. (One to Iraq and one to Afghanistan).

I'm now joining Marter Paranormal Research Team to help in all forms of investigations. I can't wait to help!

Alex
Investigator in training

Alex developed his interest in the paranormal early in life. He was raised on stories of extraterrestrials and ghosts. Then it was only stories. It would all come to a head years later when a move to a new home and unexplained occurrences would rekindle his interest in the paranormal.

As the years went by, he would find himself drawn to more and more situations that were paranormal in nature. He likes to compare himself to The X-Files character Fox Mulder with the phrase “I want to believe”, he is a natural skeptic but looks for the truth in all paranormal experiences.  His years as a professional journalist prepared him for the research that goes into preparing to objectively investigate locations.

Cheyenne
Investigator in training
My name is Cheyenne. Growing up in the house I grew up in, it would be hard for me not to be a believer in the paranormal. There are many events I can recall. Anything from a green glowing ball of light, to seeing shadow people, to my Lamb Chop puppet dancing around on the shelf by itself. I consider myself to be “in tune” with my surroundings. I want to be part of a team who is dedicated to proving and exploring the existence of things beyond what we can see.

Angie
Investigator in training
I enjoy the outdoors especially if it involves water. I work a full time job and raise two wonderful rescue animals. I enjoy music, playing cards, bbq, and hanging out with some close friends. I've always been interested in the paranormal every since I was a kid due to the things I've seen and witnessed. I absolutely would love to go further with learning equipment, investigation techniques and research.
